Painting Mickey The Magician
Painting outside the Theater, on Main Street.
Every time my family and I walk into the Magic Kingdom, a warm, happy feeling comes to life creating beloved memories we don't want to let fade. Friday night was one such evening and I was compelled to begin a painting on my iPad pouring myself into a 'Magician Mickey' piece. I worked just outside of the Town Square Theater and later inside the theater's lobby. Of course, the Meet-&-Greet to interact with ‘the Mouse’ himself was high on our list! While in the theater-que anticipating time with Mickey, we happily conversed with an “annual pass holder” couple from Pittsburgh, as well as a family from South America on their first vacation to Walt Disney World. Magician Mickey, attired with magician cape, created a “magical moment” for our family as well as for our new-found friends.
Ending with hugs and a wave Magician Mickey bid us farewell and then we strolled outside into the park. Walking in that wistful Main Street glow I was inspired to return to my artwork loading each brushstroke with the same emotion. Sharing art that evokes these feelings of enchantment is my driving passion, especially with others who allow that wonder to bloom inside of them, too! Soon I’ll be posting my work-in-progress videos and the final painting when it is completed. Don’t let the magic fade! Stay tuned to live these moments again and again!
