Painting the Astounding Donaldo

Our quest to paint favorite Disney meet-and-greet moments continues and led us to Pete’s Silly Sideshow at The Magic Kingdom! We visited Donald Duck attired as The Astounding Donaldo! In typical Donald Duck fashion, he was a little ill-tempered at first to which we assured him he was the number one duck in our hearts. He immediately wanted to have his picture taken with us and posed uninhibited and flamboyantly for the painting. After much laughter and waves good-bye we followed the wonderful aroma to the Big Top for treats that rival the Main Street Confectionary.

I was eager to start the painting of the Astounding Donaldo, and the family “impatiently” wanted to ride Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs mine train 🙂 So a spotless Fantasyland trash can outside of the Sideshow tent served as my art studio while they went digging for gems with the dwarves.

The Storybook Circus has a charm for our family thanks to years of memories which we will never forget. My goal in sharing this art with other Disney fans is to keep the magic going when at home or work and bring joy even when far away.
